Red Wing and Wabasha, MN

Continuing the tradition of winter break to go somewhere around Minnesota. Last year, we wnet to Duluth, this year, we decided to go south since it is a bit warmer there and we haven't explore southern Minnesota. The people in the old small town are really nice, anywhere we go, they would say hi and hello.

St.Louis on winter Break
|

We went to St. Louis, Missouri for 4 days (24 to 28th December) during the winter break. The drive took us about 10 hours from Minneapolis to St. Louis, Missouri. The city was not as hectic as Minneapolis. Biggest attraction there is the Gateway Arc. Designed by a Finnish architect, Eero Saarinen. It was a magnificent and working statue. Saarinen really did think about everything, Especially the unique design of the elevators. Too bad he didn't have the chance to see the arc before he died.
p/s: I am sorry if my pictures look gloomy... Usually the pictures i take resemble how I feel. It is kinda hard to be cheerful when I know in Palestine, my brothers and sisters in Islam are being unjustly slaughtered...
